Succinct. Haiku is often so effective when it touches on tough subjects.
Did I read this correctly? Are you also implying that we'd like to lay winter off as well?

Ouch... Tell her I am so sorry.
Thank you guys very much. My granddaughter was laid off before Christmas, the second round of layoffs in her office. I felt so sorry for her that I wrote this poem, a sad reality not only for her but for so many people in this uncertain economic woes we are in.
